Creating and managing SSP News is restricted by default to the role of SSP manager.
SSP News content can be created through the SSP Dashboard - user dropdown options, selecting the SSP content type you wish to create - as shown below.
Fields that exist on this content type are:

Title - text field *
Image - image upload
Body - Long text field - WYSIWYG
User roles - Drupal roles - Use this field to manage which role can view the content
Created content can be seen in the 'Manage content' table, on the 'SSP News' page and on the 'SSP dashboard'.
