A walkthrough of the elements on a Case Instance Dashboard

Overview

On your CiviPlus site, each Case Instance has its own dedicated Dashboard. The Dashboard contains numerous components that give a snapshot of the activity in the Case Instance. This guide will walk through each of these elements.

To access the Dashboard of any Case Instance:

  • Navigate to *Case Instance Menu Item* --> Dashboard

For example:

Layout

All Case Instances will have the same basic layout of elements. Since your Sales Opportunity Case Instance will be based on CiviProspect, prospecting terminology is used on the Dashboard.

Using our example Prospecting Case Instance:

New Prospects

  • This widget shows any new sales opportunity records for the case types relative to you as a case user.

    • If you are assigned as Case Manager for a Case Type, this widget will show a filtered view of new cases relevant to you

Prospect Calendar

  • This gives a calendar view of prospect events, both past and future.

    • These will be activities attached to each prospect record

Case Types

  • The Case Types that have been created will be populated as new lines in this dashboard

    • In our example, we just have one case type, therefore just one line appears here

Case Statuses

  • Each record status is visible across this dashboard, in the order determined by the Order value in the Case Types settings.

  • Statuses can be colour-coded in the Case Statuses settings.

  • Clickable links:

    • Clicking any of the figures in the main top row will take you to a filtered view of all the case instance records with that status

    • Clicking any of the figures against a specific case type will take you to a filtered view of the case instance records with that status AND of that case type

Settings

  • This cog logo opens up filtering options for all Case Statuses that apply to the Sales Opportunity Case Instance

    • In our example, this shows all the statuses available for the Prospecting Case Instance

  • If more than one Case Type is filtered to be visible, then the combined case statuses for all types will be shown.

View Filter

  • The entire Dashboard can be filtered to show all records, or those you have a role within

    • If Prospects I am involved in is selected, you will only see records where you are the Case Manager

Add Prospect

  • This button at the top right of the screen lets you manually create a new record within the case instance
