Overview
Once you have your case instance(s) and cases type(s) configured, you will need to know how to manage individual records. This article will form an introduction to managing a case record in CiviPlus.
Accessing Individual Records
To access Individual Sales Opportunity records:
Navigate to *Case Instance* --> Manage *Case Instance*
In our Prospecting Case Instance example:
Main Screen Layout
The results screen you will be taken to is the same as if you had selected to view all case instance records from the Dashboard area.
In other words, here you will be presented with a list of all open sales opportunity records in your site under the specific case instance.
If you recall, open in this context refers to Case Statuses which were set up with the Opened class (as opposed to Closed)
In our example below, we can see all the open records in the system under the Prospecting Case Instance, with no filters:
There is a summary of the key information for each record per row. This is useful if you need a specific piece of information at a glance.
You can use the filters to narrow down the results further:
Prospect Type
Status
Relationship Type
Individual Record Layout
To view and edit a full sales opportunity record:
Select a box in the scrolling feed on the left-hand side of the screen:
Please note: selecting the contact name itself - in our case, Anna Avery - will open up the contact record, rather than the opportunity record.
Even from this detailed screen, you can easily switch between different records using the scrolling feed, without having to load a completely new page or tab each time.
To hide the scrolling feed, select the "<" symbol next to the contact name.
