Members often want to check which events they have booked on to, what dates they are attending, or whether a cancellation went through — without emailing your events team. The My Events page in the Self-Service Portal gives every logged-in user a personal list of their event registrations, alongside the other "My" areas such as My Invoices and My Certificates.
This page explains what My Events shows, how members search and filter their list, and what is needed to switch it on. If you are new to the portal itself, start with Introduction to the Self Service Portal.
What can I do in CiviPlus?
Give members a My Events page listing every event they are registered on, with the event dates, their role and their registration status.
Let members search their list by event name, and filter it by date, role or status.
Registrations your staff record in CiviPlus appear on the member's list straight away — there is no separate publishing step.
Cancellations stay visible with a Cancelled status, so members can confirm a cancellation went through.
Before you start
What this needs: My Events ships as part of the Self-Service Portal. Who can see the page is controlled by the Access My Events module which might need enabling and configuration. Contact your CiviPlus account manager or submit a ticket via the Helpdesk if you don't have this enabled and we will work with you to enable the required modules.
What will members see?
Once enabled, members see a My Events item in their portal navigation. Opening it shows a table of every event linked to their record, listed soonest first, with four columns:
Title — the event name.
Date — the event's start and end date. Events with a single date show just that date.
Role — the member's role at the event, such as Attendee or Speaker. Where they hold more than one role, all of them are shown, separated by commas.
Status — their registration status, such as Registered or Cancelled.
My Events is driven by the participant records on the member's contact in CiviPlus, and only ever shows the logged-in member their own registrations. What your staff see on the contact's Events tab and what the member sees in the portal always match.
Searching and filtering the list
Members and supporters with a long history can narrow the list down:
Type an event name into the Search Events box and press Enter — the list narrows to matching titles.
Click Show Filters to reveal three more filters: Date (a from/to range on the event start date), Role and Status.
While any search or filter is active, a Reset Filters link appears — one click returns the member to their full list. If a member has more than 20 events, the list is split into pages.
Checking it worked
That's it — once the permission is enabled, any member with event registrations sees My Events in their portal navigation. To check it end to end, register a test contact for an event in CiviPlus, then log in to the portal as that contact: the event appears on their My Events page straight away.
