Introduction to blocks

The tab labelled BLOCKS is where you can create the outline structure of your mailing using one or more blocks, each of which is preconfigured to hold images, text and button in a variety of formats. You can create the framework for your mailing simply by dragging blocks from the left hand pane to the editing area, as shown below:

Creating blocks in the mailing

For this example, we'll use the 534 x 200 format block and so will drag it to the to the drawing pane on the right.

There are essentially three things you can do at the block level:

  1. If you have multiple blocks on the page, you can drag them up or down to change the order in which they appear. (Note, you may also see Up/Down arrow icons to move the block)

  2. You can duplicate the block. The duplicated block will contain any content and style changes that you may have made.

  3. You can delete the block. (Note that there is are icons in the top menu ribbon that allow you to undo/redo any changes you make, so it is easy to undelete a block if deleted in error)

Many mailings use more than one block, and once you have placed the required blocks into the drawing pane, and arranged them in the way that you want, you can start adding content which is covered in the next article.
