How to set up CPD on the Self Service Portal

Most of the configuration for CPD is handled within CiviPlus itself, and covered in the article called "Configuring CPD in CiviPlus".

Within the SSP, the only configuration needed is to set the number hours which is the CPD target for the system. To configure the target hours, navigate to Configuration -> SSP -> CPD settings and enter a value for the overall target hours

Note: If no value is entered in the Overall Target setting (i.e. left blank) then the Total Hours block will not be shown to users.

If a value is entered for the Overall Target setting then this will be displayed in the My CPD tab (and also in the View Application page for a panel reviewer) as shown below:

In this example Javi has earned a total of 19 CPD hours out of a target of 160 hours.

Note: The Overall Hours value is is common for all SSP users.

User access to My CPD

The "CiviCRM: Access My CPD" permission needs to be enabled for the user to view SSP - My CPD menu and its features. This permission is enabled for authenticated users by default.
